What is Curation?
Curation as such can be seen as discovering and voting quality content inside the Hive blockchain. In reality is just the act of upvoting whatever it is you like to upvote.
To upvote a post or comment, click on the "upvote" or "Heart" icon at the bottom of the post/comment.
Will I Get Anything for Curating / Upvoting any Content in Hive?
Well, it depends, there are a lot of factors involve in how curations rewards are distributed from amount of HP of the voting account, weight of the vote, when was the vote casted, to many other factors.

How Does Curation Work on Hive
If you upvote a post or a comment on the Hive Blockchain social dapps, you get a chance to get part of the curator’s rewards of said post.
Every day, a fixed amount of HIVE tokens are allocated to the network reward fund, commonly called the "reward pool." These get distributed to authors and curators for posting and voting on content. Up to 50% of a post's payout is awarded to curators (the people who upvoted the post) as a reward for discovering the content. The other 50% is awarded to the author.
Upvoting a post doesn’t cost anything to you since it doesn’t reduce any liquid Hive or HBD or even HIVE Power you may have.
¿Cómo funciona la curación en Hive?
Si vota una publicación o un comentario en la Hive Blockchain, tiene la oportunidad de obtener parte de las recompensas como curador de dicha publicación.
Todos los días, se asigna una cantidad fija de tokens HIVE al fondo de recompensas o reward pool. Estos se distribuyen a los autores y curadores por publicar y votar el contenido. Hasta el 50% del pago de una publicación se otorga a los curadores (las personas que votaron por la publicación) como recompensa por descubrir el contenido. El otro 50% se otorga al autor.
Votar una publicación no le cuesta nada, ya que no reduce tus Hive o HBD o incluso el HIVE Power que puedas tener.
Rules, Timing and Limits to Curation / Voting
1. You need to have Hive Power for your vote to be worth anything at all.
In Hive votes are stake-weighted. Therefore, voters with more Hive Power have a greater influence and their vote is worth more than voters with less HP.
2. You cannot infinitely Upvote at the same value.
There is something call Voting mana you start out with 100% voting mana. Every time you vote, you will use a small amount of your voting mana. So, each time you vote the value of your next vote is worth a little bit less.it needs time to regenerate.
Generally speaking, you can make about 10 full votes a day and that Voting Mana will be regenerated by the next day. You may also give PARTIAL votes if you have more than 500HP in Hive.Blog or if you use peakd you will see with the percentage slider when you vote.
Voting with less than 100% voting weight will use up less voting mana, but it will also have less of an influence on the post or comment's rewards.
You can make more than 10 full votes knowing your Voting Mana will drop accordingly.
3. Posts and comments are only active for 7 days.
So, from the day a post or comment was made you only have 7 days to upvote it to generate some rewards to it. Pass that time you still can upvote it but it won’t affect the rewards because they were already pay at the end of day 7.
4. 5 minute voting window
To prevent abuse, of the 50% that goes to the curator, the curator will receive less than 100% if the curator votes within the first 5 minutes. The split of the 50% that the curator receives during the first 5 minutes is calculated linearly based on the time the vote is cast. this gives time for people to organically discover the post before it gets hit by larger voters, self-voters and auto-votes.
If a post is upvoted the moment of posting, 100% of the curation reward will remain in the rewards pool.
-At 1 minute, the curator receives 20%, and 80% remains in the rewards pool.
- At 2 minutes, the curator receives 40%, and 60% remains in the rewards pool.
- At 3 minutes, the curator receives 60%, and 40% remains in the rewards pool.
- At 4 minutes, the curator receives 80%, and 20% remains in the rewards pool.
If a post is upvoted 5 minutes (or later) after posting, 100% of the curation reward goes to the curator. –Source
Reglas, tiempo y límites de curación / votación
1. Necesitas tener Hive Power para que tu voto valga algo.
En Hive los votos tienen valor dependiendo de tu stake. Por lo tanto, los votantes con más HIVE Power tienen una mayor influencia y su voto vale más que los votantes con menos HP.
2. No puedes dar Upvote infinitamente al mismo valor.
Hay algo que se llama Voting Mana. Comienza con un 100% de maná de votación. Cada vez que vote, usará una pequeña cantidad de su maná de votación. Entonces, cada vez que vota, el valor de su próximo voto vale un poco menos. Necesita tiempo para regenerarse.
En términos generales, puedes hacer unos 10 votos completos por día y ese Voting Mana se regenerará al día siguiente. También puede dar Votos PARCIALES si tiene más de 500HP en Hive.Blog o si usa peakd, verá con el control deslizante de porcentaje cuando vote.

3. Las publicaciones y los comentarios solo están activos durante 7 días.

4. Ventana de votación de 5 minutos

Always Keep in Mind That...
A user with more HP is going to have a larger influence on the rewards than users with less HP. One vote from a user with a lot of HP can often have more of an effect than 100 votes from users with a small amount of HP.
Posting on Hive doesn’t guarantees a vote or that the votes receive are going to be worth anything.
Plagiarism and Abuse is handle by the community. So, even if a post that abuses that gets upvotes worth something, the community can downvote it to have say rewards nullified.

Un usuario con más HP tendrá una mayor influencia en las recompensas que los usuarios con menos HP. Un voto de un usuario con mucho HP a menudo puede tener más efecto que 100 votos de usuarios con una pequeña cantidad de HP.
