Beer Tasting: Bewog and Daruvarsko

Hello, beer tasters! 🍻 😎 🍻

As you know (if you read my posts) I'm on vacation with family, on the island of Pag, Croatia. That's my favorite place for vacation for years...

And, of course, hot summer, sea, and cold beer, a book, a view of the sea is a perfect combination ... and that's enough for me ... well not always ... :)

Bewog Sunda Tiger DDH Hazy IPA and Hawksbill Hazy Sea Turtle Hazy IPA

Bewog is already a world-renowned brewery (I got a package of 16 Bewog beers from a friend I helped with on the website) so it doesn’t need a special presentation. At Ratebeer you can see their ratings of all the beers they brew ...

My wife and I tasted Sunda Tiger first.

This beer and another one are from Bewog Extinction Series:

The extinction of any species is an irreversible loss. With every extinct animal, we lose the biological richness and the balance of the ecosystem on the planet Earth. Humans could be next. We need to act now!
Sunda tigers are known for heavy black stripes on their orange coats, giving them the perfect camouflage on the forest floor. Today, about 400 tigers survive and are found only in Sumatra. Hunters trap or shoot them for their skin, bones, and canines, which are in high demand as status symbols, primarily overseas, and for use in East Asian traditional medicine.

It's classic hazy-colored, like a light Zwickl, and delights with fruity-grainy aromas that make it refreshing on the one hand and deeply aroma-emphasized on the other. To name a few flavors: pineapple, lime, mango, tangerine, and black pepper. . Great one.

Next was the Hawksbill Hazy Sea Turtle

Yellow hazy color, extremely cloudy, medium creamy white IPA. The scent is stone fruit and peach. Taste is sweet, citrus, mandarin, and grass. The beer is recognizable as pale ale, but it's not as bitter as an IPA.

Well, drinkable, but Sunda Tiger is tastier for me ... (my wife of course doesn't agree with me, Turtle is better for her ...)

Daruvarsko DA-1840-EU and Daruvarsko Svijetlo

I have already tasted some very good beers from Daruvarska Brewery (now Staročeško), for example 5th Element Imperial IPA, so I expected something similar from these two.

But a total disappointment! (Here my wife and I agreed ...)
Pale, without color, foam, and taste. Even for both beers, I had the feeling that they were exactly the same in taste, the difference between them was only in the can, so I won’t dwell too much on them.
... we continued with whiskey...

And what do we listen to? Something from the #newtunes vacation selection, one out-of-time song ...
