⚜️ How did I find out about Hive?
I'll tell you that I had never heard of Hive. Until that day in July 2021 when a friend of mine, who had just started using the platform, told me about Hive.
⚜️ Who first told me about Hive?
My friend @arialvi75 was the one who told me about Hive. She knew that I had been working on writing articles for websites for a while. Then I was working with editing some e-books and drawing books. But at that time I didn't have work on a very regular basis.
Well, she told me about Hive. But from the sound of it I had no idea how to write it. So I set about trying to Google some matching sounds. I think I came up with Hive but I really wasn't sure. Until a next conversation where she was able to confirm exactly how it was spelled.
⚜️ How was I sold on Hive?
She told me about a site where you could register and write articles of any kind. These were published in communities that dealt with specific topics. She also told me that there were some Spanish communities, but many others where you could write in both Spanish and English. I speak Spanish. But he also told me that I could translate with the free translator Deepl.
⚜️ Did they tell me how to sign up?
She didn't know much at the time. She had also recently learned about Hive through her brother-in-law. I asked her how to join but she told me she thought the way to join was through an invitation. But I started researching the site and found some possible options that I thought I could sign up for. And so I did. I don't remember it very well, but I was able to create my account.
At that point I just did my registration and carefully saved all the keys they gave me. By the way, I was very terrified to learn that in Hive there are no options to recover the keys so if you lose them, that's the end of it. Now I'm not sure if that's the case 🤔.
⚜️ What did I think when I heard about Hive?
I thought it was wonderful, because I love writing. But to be honest, I often found it tedious to write articles for some sites that didn't generate excitement or interest for me personally.
But since I was approached by Hive, I could write about the topics I was interested in freely and I could also get financial benefits from them. I could also benefit from the interesting articles that others wrote on the topics of my interest.
⚜️ What was my motivation for joining Hive?
In the previous question I answered something about this. Hive seemed like an ideal situation for me. At that time I thought I could do this with real passion. In fact, I could do it as a hobby but make it so that later on it could provide me with a livelihood.
⚜️ Did you know what you would do at Hive?
I thought I did because I simply associated it with writing articles that I already knew. But I was totally wrong and that made my start in Hive not a good one and even after 6 months I have not been able to recover.
I tried to do it on my own, but I thought Tags were like keywords in article writing. I also didn't know about the different communities or how to join them, or publish a post in one.
⚜️ Did I have a hard time with Hive?
I love writing articles. I also had some knowledge of web pages. I am also a Systems Engineer, although a bit obsolete but I get along well with technology. But despite that yes, it has been difficult for me.
Because here it's not about article writing per se. Much less did I know that a post has a 7 day shelf life. So after a month of writing my submission on Hive, without knowing anything about Tags I tried to correct it.
Later I found out that Hive is a social network 😱 and a blockchain or blockchain 😵. And every day I see many other different things. Sometimes I would get discouraged because it's so many new things to learn that it overwhelmed me.
At first I didn't know it was important to interact with others because I didn't know it was a social network. But now I want to cover so much of what I had not done before, that I get overwhelmed. But I still feel like I'm not making much progress.
Besides, I'm interested in a myriad of topics and I want to write about everything. That's why I have a hard time deciding what to write about and in which community. I won't go deeper into this because, as indicated in the invitation, this is not about my first steps in Hive, yet.
⚜️ Did I believe what they told me about Hive?
Yes, of course you did, because I heard about Hive from a good friend. Although she was also a newbie and couldn't tell me so much at first. but I still believe in Hive and see it as a big monster, which doesn't scare me but rather amazes me. So I'm still betting on her 😉 even though at times I wanted to give up on her.

⚜️ ¿Cómo me enteré de Hive?
Te cuento que nunca había oído hablar de Hive. Hasta aquel día de Julio de 2021 que una amiga que recién se había iniciado en la plataforma me hablo de ella.
⚜️ ¿Quién me habló por primera vez de Hive?
Mi amiga @arialvi75 fue quien me habló de Hive. Ella sabía que yo desde hace un tiempo había estado trabajando redactando artículos para páginas web. Luego estuve trabajando con la edición de unos libros electrónicos y libros para dibujar. Pero en aquellos momentos no tenía trabajo de forma muy regular.
Bueno, ella me habló de Hive. Pero por el sonido no tenía ni idea de cómo se escribía. Así que me puse a tratar de buscar en Google algunos sonidos coincidentes. Creo que di con Hive pero realmente no estaba segura. Hasta una próxima conversación en la cual me pudo confirmar exactamente como se escribía.
⚜️ ¿Cómo me vendieron en Hive?
Ella me habló de una página en la que uno se podía registrar y escribir artículos de cualquier índole. Los cuales se publicaban en comunidades que trataban de temas específicos. También me dijo que había algunas comunidades de español, pero muchas otras donde se podía escribir tanto en español como en inglés. Yo hablo español. Pero también me indicó que podía traducir con el traductor gratuito Deepl.
⚜️ ¿Me dijeron cómo inscribirme?
En aquel entonces ella no sabía mucho. También había conocido Hive recientemente a través de su cuñado. Le pregunté como entrar, pero ella me dijo que creía que la forma de entrar era a través de una invitación. Pero yo comencé a investigar en la página y encontre algunas posibles opciones por las que creía podía registrarme. Y así lo hice. Ya no lo recuerdo muy bien, pero pude crear mi cuenta.
En ese momento solo hice mi registro y guarde cuidadosamente todas las claves que me proporcionaron. Por cierto, me aterró mucho saber que en Hive no hay opciones para recuperar las claves así que si las pierdes, llegó el fin. Ahora no estoy segura de que eso sea así 🤔.
⚜️ ¿Qué pensé cuando me hablaron de Hive?
Me pareció maravilloso, porque me encanta escribir. Pero si te soy sincera, muchas veces se me hacía tedioso redactar artículos para algunas páginas que no me generaban emoción o interés de forma personal.
Pero como me plantearon Hive, podía escribir de los temas de mi interés con libertad y además podía obtener beneficios económicos a través de ellos. También podría beneficiarme de los artículos interesantes que otros escribieran sobre los temas de mi interés.
⚜️ ¿Cuál fue mi motivación para unirme a Hive?
En la pregunta anterior respondo algo al respecto. Hive me pareció una situación ideal para mí. En ese momento pensé que podía dedicarme a esto con verdadera pasión. Es más que podía hacerlo como si fuera un hobbie pero lograr que más adelante me pudiera proveer algo de sustento.
⚜️ ¿Sabía lo que haría en Hive?
Pensé que lo sabía, porque lo asocie simplemente con la redacción de artículos que ya conocía. Pero estaba totalmente equivocada y eso hizo que mi inicio en Hive no fuera bueno y aun después de 6 meses no he podido recuperarme.
Traté de hacerlo por mi propia cuenta, pero pensé que las Tags eran como las keywords en la redacción de artículos. Tampoco sabía sobre las diferentes comunidades ni cómo unirme a ellas, o cómo publicar un post en alguna.
⚜️ ¿Me ha resultado difícil Hive?
Redactar artículos me encanta. También tenía algún conocimiento de páginas web. Además soy Ingeniero en Sistema, aunque un poco obsoleta pero me la llevo bien con la tecnología. Pero a pesar de eso sí, se me ha hecho difícil.
Porque aquí no se trata de la redacción de artículos per se. Mucho menos sabía que un post tiene una vigencia de 7 días. Así que luego de un mes de escribir mi presentación en Hive, sin saber nada de las Tags traté de corregirlo.
Más adelante me enteré que Hive es una red social 😱 y una cadena de bloques o blockchain 😵. Y cada día veo muchas otras cosas diferentes. En ocasiones me desanimaba porque son tantas cosas nuevas por aprender que me abrumaba.
En principio no sabía que era importante la interacción con otros porque no sabía que era una red social. Pero ahorita quiero abarcar tanto de lo que no había hecho antes, que me agobio. Pero igual siento que no avanzo mucho.
Además, me interesa un sinfín de temas y quiero escribir sobre todo. Por eso me cuesta mucho decidir que escribir y en qué comunidad. No profundizaré más al respecto porque como indicaron en la invitación, esto no se trata de mis primeros pasos en Hive, aun.
⚜️ ¿Creí lo que me dijeron sobre Hive?
Sí, claro que sí, porque supe de Hive por una buena amiga. Aunque ella también era novata y no me pudo decir tanto al principio. Pero aun creo en Hive y lo veo como un gran monstruo, que no me asusta sino más bien me asombra. Así que sigo apostando por ella 😉 aunque en ocasiones he querido darme por vencida
