Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.

I should have started when 10th edition launched!

This is Review #137, I am 312 reviews behind!

Not picking randomly at the moment, I am focusing on Blood Angels to get them done before their new Codex comes out!

Blood Angels, Death Company Intercessors

Even though Belisarius Cawl made improved Space Marines with the genetic stock of Sanguinius, he did not manage to fix the curse of the Blood Angels - the Black Rage.

Thus, even Primaris Marines that succumb to the madness that is the blood curse of their Chapter and are ushered to the Death Company under the guidance of the Chapter's Chaplains, new and old.

They are 75pts for 5 Models and 150pts for 10 Models.

They cost $58 for a box of 5 of them.

Weapons

So their standard armament is Bolt Rifle, Bolt Pistol and Close Combat Weapon.

Any of them can exchange the Bolt Rifle and Bolt Pistol for an Astartes Chainsword and Heavy Bolt Pistol.

1x member of the Squad can exchange his Heavy Bolt Pistol for one of the following:

Plasma Pistol
Hand Flamer

1 in every 5 models in the unit that has a Bolt Rifle can be equipped with an Astartes Grenade Launcher.

1 member of the unit can Exchange either the Astartes Chainsword or Bolt Rifle with one of the following:

Power Weapon
Power Fist
Thunder Hammer

Bolt Pistol

Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in Engagements range of an enemy as long as you target one fo the units that the unit is fighting)

Heavy Bolt Pistol

Range 18", 1 Attack, Hits on a 3+, S4, Ap -1, 1 Damage each
Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in Engagements range of an enemy as long as you target one fo the units that the unit is fighting)

Hand Flamer

Range 12", D6 Attacks, Auto Hits, S3, Ap 0, 1 Damage each
Torrent (This weapon automatically hits, just roll a D6 to see how many attacks it gets)
Ignores Cover (Enemies to not get Benefit of Cover against this attack)
Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in Engagements range of an enemy as long as you target one fo the units that the unit is fighting)

Plasma pistol - Standard Shot

Range 12", 1 Attack, Hits on a 3+, S7, Ap -2, 1 Damage each
Pistol (This unit can shoot this weapon even if they are in engagement with an enemy unit.)

Plasma pistol - Overcharged Shot

Range 12", 1 Attack, Hits on a 3+, S8, Ap -3, 2 Damage each
Pistol (This unit can shoot this weapon even if they are in engagement with an enemy unit.)
Hazardous (When firing this option, you need to roll a dice, on a 1, this model takes 3 Mortal Wounds.)

Astartes Grenade Launcher - krak option

Astartes Grenade Launcher - Frag option

Blast (For every 5 models in the target unit, rounding down, this weapon gets an additional attack.)

Devastating Wounds (Critical Wound on a 6 cause Mortal Wounds)

Abilities

Feel No Pain 6+

Black Rage

Models in this unit re-roll the to Hit Dice.
Also, if a Chaplain model is not within 12" of this unit, they cannot Fall Back and they are OC 0.

Visions of Heresy

Once per turn, you can target this unit with the Fire Overwatch or Heroic Intervention Stratagem for 0CP.

Thoughts

Death Company are always cool and effective. It is obvious that in order to make them working, scoring units, your army MUST contain Chaplains.

Always re-rolling to hit is amazing. If you had something to help their ability to wound or cut through armor, then they are an extremely powerful unit!

Becasue of my own predelictions my 5 man unit would be 1x Power Fist, 1x Rifle/Grenade Launcer, 1x Hand Flamer/Chainsword and 2x Chainsword/Heavy Bolt Pistols.

A 10 man unit would be 1x Power Fist, 2x Rifle/Grenade Launcer, 1x Hand Flamer/Chainsword and 6x Chainsword/Heavy Bolt Pistols.

That makes 11 Blood Angels Reviewed putting them on 57.89% Completed! The total Completed is 14.10% Complete! Can I review them all?!
