Hoy entrene sabroso, aunque quede muy exhausto realmente. Hacer series de velocidad de 400 metros definitivamente es una locura, un entrenamiento para subir el nivel en nuestro rendimiento.
Cuando jugaba beisbol hacia series de 10 segundos a toda velocidad, pero estas de 400 metros son un nivel totalmente diferente porque la distancia es mucho más larga y la intensidad del ritmo es muy fuerte, de verdad que quede bastante agotado.
Estuve buscando donde hacerlas, así que me fui a la camineria del Aeropuerto, allí hay aproximadamente 500 metros rodeados de árboles, no hay desnivel, y transitan pocas personas temprano, lo único malo es que el pavimento no está muy bueno, pero aun así se encuentra apto para hacer series de velocidad.
Mi respiración estuvo bien, de hecho me agrado bastante porque a pesar del cansancio no me falto el aire en ningún momento, y eso es gracias al tiempo que tengo trotando desde que inicie con HiveRun. En este sentido quiero tocar la mejoría que he tenido en mi resistencia y fortaleza en las piernas, el sábado fui a jugar futbol y a pesar de jugar con puros jovencitos no me sentí cansado, tuve una excelente resistencia.
Ahora bien, volviendo al tema de las series de 400 metros, ha sido una grata experiencia, inicialmente corrí 2 km para llegar al sitio, allí volví a estirar, y después de un rato inicie. La primera serie fue la mejor de todas, en todos los sentidos, arranque con una buena velocidad y si la hubiese mantenido quizás podría tener un tiempo de 1.10-15 min aproximadamente, pero los últimos 100 metros baje demasiado el ritmo, el tanque se me acabo.
Para la segunda serie asumí otro ritmo e hice un tiempo similar al primero, pero no arranque igual que la primera serie sino que me enfoque en mantener un ritmo rápido, esto también lo hice en las dos últimas y me fue muy bien así.
Ya tengo un tiempo que superar, mi propia marca de 1.27 min en 400 metros que hasta ahora ha sido mi mejor tiempo.

I had a tasty workout today, even though I was really exhausted. Doing 400m speed runs is definitely a crazy, performance enhancing workout.
When I used to play baseball I used to do 10 second sprints at full speed, but these 400 meter sprints are a whole different level because the distance is much longer and the intensity of the pace is very strong, I was really exhausted.
I was looking for a place to do them, so I went to the Airport path, there are about 500 meters surrounded by trees, there is no slope, and few people pass early, the only bad thing is that the pavement is not very good, but still it is suitable for speed series.
My breathing was fine, in fact I was quite pleased because despite the fatigue I was not short of breath at any time, and that's thanks to the time I have been jogging since I started with HiveRun. In this sense I want to mention the improvement I have had in my resistance and strength in my legs, on Saturday I went to play soccer and despite playing with young kids I didn't feel tired, I had an excellent resistance.
Now, returning to the subject of the series of 400 meters, it has been a pleasant experience, initially I ran 2 km to get to the site, there I returned to stretch, and after a while I started. The first series was the best of all, in all senses, I started with a good speed and if I had kept it maybe I could have a time of 1.10-15 min approximately, but the last 100 meters I slowed down too much, the tank ran out.
For the second heat I assumed another pace and did a similar time to the first one, but I didn't start the same as the first heat but I focused on keeping a fast pace, this I also did in the last two and I did very well that way.
I already have a time to beat, my own record of 1.27 min in 400 meters which so far has been my best time.
