We've been talking about optimized content, rankings and organic traffic lately. Much due to the awesome announcement about Ad Revenue ending up in LEO holders wallets.
My recent posts have been about the growth of LeoFinance & Hive "With Optimized Content" and that I will "Go Back In Time To Stay Fresh For Search Engines" just for the sake of growth. We are talking about real, organic traffic, which is the most powerful ingredient to pull off a success.
@khaleelkazi himself recently talked about engagement and that he aims for the number #1 spot in the rankings this week. He will also send 100 LEO to anyone who ranks above him in the "LeoFinance Weekly Engagement League" by @abh12345.
I am sure that there are a bunch of people out there being interested in pushing engagement to new heights for various reasons, but grabbing 100 LEO directly from khal just for engaging is pretty awesome.
That being said, while I have been focused on telling people about optimized content, the importance of rankings and how to boost organic traffic to levels we've never seen before.. I missed out on one thing. Something that the post from @zestimony reminded me of earlier.
You can edit your old content to boost organic traffic over time, you can optimize your content and link back to older publications as much as you want, but you will not see instant results. I have taken that for granted, that people understand that it takes time and that we won't see immediate results.
- It takes time to show up on search engines.

From the post of zestimony.
With that in mind, I figured I would briefly share some information about this. It usually takes between 90-180 days, or 3-6 months to rank content, or before it shows up on Google when you search for phrases. It basically depends on the competitiveness of your industry and popularity of your keywords. Less competition and easier keywords, such as long-tail ones are easier to rank. They rank quicker, which means that the content will show up on Google faster compared to content that has heavy competition.
You should continue to build on- and around your content during that process though. During the time it takes Google to rank your content. If you just publish your content and forget about it, it's less chance for it to show up on Google and bring organic traffic over time compared to if you continue to build backlinks for it. You want social signals like shares, likes and retweets. You want "hype" and "buzz" around your content.
The more "hype" it is, including engagement etc. The higher the rankings. In theory. So continue to include links to your content in future publications. Continue to optimize, engage and share.
- That's how winning is done!
