This weeks Battle Mage Challenge is about the Fog of War rule.

Fog of War removes the effect of Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity. This means that most monsters will only be able to attack the monster in front in the enemy lineup. Since sneak and opportunity are disabled, Fog of War does not favor melee monsters. You can still use a Taunt monster to direct the damage away from the frontline monster.
High priority abilities in the Fog of War rule are:

Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Void are good because melee monsters are disadvantaged. You will want a tough tank in front, and it is very effective to support that unit with both Tank Heal and Repair, the latter especially if paired with Void Armor. Finally, Silence and Headwinds reduce the damage type you will be facing the most.

My Battle: Fog of War Battle
My Fog of War battle had the following configuration: Bronze League (no legendaries tournament), 35 mana, rules: Rise of the Commons, Melee Mayhem and Fog of War. All splinters available except fire.

My Lineup
This rule combo looks like a melee-heavy one, and we should expect several melee damage reducing abilities. Therefore, I wanted to be a bit sneaky, and not go for all that much melee damage. I landed on the following lineup:
The idea was to split the damage across the damage types, and have a frontline that can handle all types of incoming damage. I want to keep slow active for as long as possible. In hindsight, maybe Vulguine and Peacebringer should have swapped places.
Opponents lineup
The opponent went for a full magic obsidian setup, with a magic reflect in front and taunt to draw damage. Tank heal to keep Prismatic Energy alive, but no triage to sustain the Mycelic Slipspawn. Some cards were also underleveled, so I had an advantage for that reason.
Battle progress and Result
Round one passed with most of my damage going into Mycelic Slipspawn, and my Time Meddler going down fast because he is not particularly suited to receive magic damage.
Round 2 starts off like this:
I still have a lot of damage here, and a speed advantage, so the enemy tank goes down immediately. At round 3 we have reached this state:
In the end, the Imperial Knight was able to tank all the remaining damage, and my team was in pretty good shape at the end of the match.
