Yeah I think the Steem Messenger is an amazing project. It even has an "ignore" built in and you can see real time messages as they come in! @therealwolf if you read this, my main suggestion is filtering unread messages. You are definitely right about everything you said @omitaylor
and I think to at least deal with the network burden I'm going to try to improve the script / pay for someone to improve it at the very least. I'd have to say I'm pro-memo at-least until we have native chat and or communities
