Share Cool Hunts on your Social Channels and Get HUNT Tokens Everyday | Sponsor Report - #20

Social Share Airdrop Begins

We see so many cool products on Steemhunt everyday, and we’ve been thinking about how to share these exciting hunts with people outside of the Steemit community. If users start to actively share these hunts via their social media channels we think it can attract more early-adopters to Steemhunt.

Today, we are proud to announce the new HUNT token airdrop - Social Share Airdrop. Everyday we will assign 90,000 HUNT tokens for people who share hunting posts to their social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. HUNT tokens will be assigned based on the share of the total daily traffic generated from all the shared posts via the social channels.

For example, if all of today’s shared social media posts have encouraged 10,000 people to visit the hunt posts, 9 HUNT tokens will be assigned per visitor (90,000 tokens / 10,000 visitors). If your shared post has generated 100 visitors that day, you will get 900 HUNT tokens (100*9 = 900). A maximum of 100 tokens per traffic (click) can be issued.

In short, if the posts you share on social channels attract more visitors to Steemhunt posts, you will get more HUNT tokens everyday.

Out-bound Content Contribution Airdrop Begins

There are about 73 contributors who have published 323 pieces of content so far via articles, videos, and other formats to promote Steemhunt project in/outside of the Steemit community. Now we think it’s time to focus more on promoting Steemhunt outside of the Steemit community.

From today, we will increase the amount of HUNT tokens that are assigned to content contributors, and assign MORE tokens to those who create content outside of Steemit and attract a large amount of likes/shares/upvotes.

The following content will gain more HUNT tokens:

1. Medium articles that gained many claps.
2. Reddit posts that have many points.
3. Facebook/Twitter posts that have many likes/shares/comments.

Updated SEO Brings more New Users

Last week, we updated the SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) settings on the hunt posts on Steemhunt, and our traffic from organic searches has increased by 21%. We expect that our continuous work to tune up the SEO and increase the number of referrals for our pages will bring more new users to Steem BC.

“Most Recent” and “Shuffle” Buttons

Last week, we made changes to the “Today” section by creating a “most recent” tab that shows the three most recently approved hunt posts. Also, hunt score is now the default view of the “Today” chart.

We know that some hunters do not agree with this new change because the hunt posts that have fewer hunt scores won’t be as visible. However, we think that the “daily ranking chart” is our core concept, and using a “random” sorting as default conflicts with this concept.

To solve this problem, we have made a new “shuffle” button on the “Today” tab. By clicking the shuffle button, the hunt posts will be sorted randomly allowing the user to discover more new hunt posts. Now the critical issue is how to encourage people to use this shuffle button. So, next week we will announce an exciting new airdrop event to promote the use of the shuffle button.
