10.5" x 12.5", Mixed Media wall relief sculpture, March 2022.

I started with an oval made of 4-ply cardboard glued together and covered in a think gruel of wood-glue and water

Then I cut out a piece of cardboard that would serve as the flower base so that the drawing could go in the center.

I painted this with flat white house paint.

Here I am checking to see if it would work.

Here is where I begin to add the paper clay that will be the relief sculpture that will be painted as the flower. In the end I cut the flower down to the central sigil and got rid of the extra petals.
