Sweet Friends,

I have had these churros sat in my freezer since Halloween last year. I kept meaning to have them, but when it came to wanting something sweet, these just didn't appeal to me, until a few nights ago when I was on my own and I knew I was going to have these whether I wanted them or not. Here's what I thought.

M&S Wiggly Worm Churros with a Chocolate Mud Dip

"Dangerously delicious churros with cinnamon sugar sprinkle."

I had to let these defrost in the fridge all day before heating them. It was very east to do. Put them in a pre heated oven for 9 minutes and then microwave the dip for 15 seconds. As the churros was cooking, they made the room smell so nice and believe it or not, they smelled freshly baked. They had a lovely golden colour to them too after cooking them. I put them in a bowl and surprisingly enough, they came out of the tray so easily and each one looked perfect. There was a sachet of cinnamon sugar that I sprinkled on. I did use the whole sachet, but I would have been happy with half the amount. There was a lot of sugar left at the bottom of the bowl even after mixing the churros thoroughly. I didn't think the chocolate sauce would be runny in 15 secs in the microwave, but that came out perfectly. It wasn't 'burn your mouth off' hot. It was lovely and warm and silky with no lumps or bumps. The churros dipped into the chocolate perfectly. I'm pleased to say the taste was so delicious and I can't believe I put off having them for so long. They were crispy on the outside, spongy in the middle and everything came together as one big party in your mouth!

Love, love, love these churros. The chocolate dip was so chocolatey too. It didn't taste like cheap confectionary chocolate. It was deep in flavour and it worked really well with the churros and cinnamon sugar. I hope these are not just a holiday thing. I'd happily have them again tomorrow.
