This is a Curated Collection of posts for stories created in the Freewriters Community during the period April 1st through June 3th, 2025. The stories consist of flash fiction entries in the ZAPFICMonday and ZAPFIC50 Monday challenges by the community leader, Felt.Buzz. Challenges are in the form of word or phrase prompts. As stated in the name, the challenges begin on Mondays and run through Thursdays. Winners and runners-ups are announced the following Monday, together with a new prompt challenge.
For ZAPFICMonday stories, authors are challenged to write as near complete a story as possible using 240 characters or less. And this includes spaces and other diacritical marks.
For ZAPFIC50 Monday stories, authors are challenged to write as near complete a story using exactly 50 words.
These are quite a feat; however, many freewrite community members accept the challenge and submit entries. Along with their entries, authors must evidence the character and word length with a Word Counter program.
