The video in this publication contains short clips from every emcee and performer from the Cosmic Truth-Hop Showcase, as well as close ups of the array of UV reactive spirit art that was present and still being created during the show. All the links to the full clips of each set are also included below the video (scroll down past the story to view).
It was an honor and a privilege to be a performer and co-creator of this event, with so many other amazing, talented, and kind-hearted humans. This series of events were a part of the All Rise Together (A.R.T.) tour, which was nothing short of running and winning a Hip-Hop relay-marathon, passing the baton constantly, but still all moving in unison, with the same purpose, will, and mission - a message of intention for a more beautiful and symbiotic existence between humanity and our Earth mother Gaia.
The Art
As you can see, the art displayed at this event was outrageously phenomenal. There could not have been more perfectly appropriate backdrops and surroundings for an event with these kind of elevated vibrations already present with the live music that night. These were all crafted from artists that are a part of the Bazar Collective here in the Portland surrounding area.
There was even some live painting from one of the artists occurring during some of the sets. This particular piece (pictured above), was displayed completed at the Inner Space - Outer Worlds event that took place later on in August.
My homie SoCoLo was able to perform his first ever set with virtually no time to prepare. I was super stoked to provide the opportunity for him/us, and it was a beautiful thing for us to finally be able to perform songs we had been working on together for so long. You can see him here with Quest-I-On signing the event posters that were given away in a raffle to help re-pay a portion of the event expenses.
Speaking of firsts, it was also this wonderful couple's first time debuting their food cart business. They were servin' up all kinds of goodness on the grill and fresh health-juices as well. Another bright-glowing ember in this blazing inferno of a collaboration.
The native flute stage-area was NOP NOTCH, and an unexpected inclusion to this congregation of souls. Calin crafts all his flutes himself by hand, and even collects the bamboo for them as well. Some other musicians eventually joined in for a jam sesh. Later on in the evening, Illuminati Congo, even called for Calin to bring his flutes over to the main stage for a hip-hop/flute collaboration cypher.. I am not entirely certain if that actually transpired however.
This building the gathering was held in also has its own storefront, where all the artists that are a part of the co-op can display and distribute their wares. The collection of Final-Fantasy style wooden buster swords especially caught my attention.
This event had all the elements of entertainment that a well rounded even should, and born of spirit. We had lots of comedy scattered around (including a hip-hop juggler-skit), live painting, incredible art in general, an instrumental/jam stage, amazing food cart, raffles, exclusive event merch, a store, and of course all the conscious Truth hop talent.
The spirit of community that evolved from this gathering was so apparent that I could feel the future of our local family turning into a peaceful village right before my eyes, well before the land has manifested for us to make birth. A congregation of powerful souls born from the flame of the phoenix, destine to ally in stride to form our tribe, and above all, complete our biggest missions in life for the benefit of everyone. We intend to leave a legacy that will benefit mankind and Gaia for generations... long after our bodies have perished. Our spirits will burn through our strides for ages, undying flames of eternity, meant to purify our world once again. "Taking back our natural state is the conclusion" - @ELAmental - No Consent.
