Honestly, today's lego toy was a little disappointing after yesterday's couch, even though it really works as a side piece to it (literally). I guess I'm still in awe over the phonograph from a couple of days ago. Don't get me wrong, I do like these pieces that turn into furniture - I keep them and reuse them often - I was just hoping for something... more.
Regardless, after 9 days I'm really beginning to be able to build out a nice scene; Harry is able to relax some on his couch while listening to music with a drink.
The Yule Story, Continued
Harry placed the golden egg, whatever it might be, on the end table beside the couch in the room and plopped down on the couch. He was super excited to get to the Ball, and it still wasn't time yet! Why was it taking so long? His impatience must have been easy to read.
"Oh, calm down," Ron said to Harry. "It'll get here soon enough. Haven't you ever been to a Ball before?"
"You know I haven't," Harry replied. "The only parties I've ever been to have been Dudley's birthday parties, and they don't even really count."
Ron made a bit of a face. "Well, have a drink at least, then, to do something while we wait." He pointed to the drink on the end table.
Harry, although not entirely thirsty, was happy to have something to do that kept him occupied, even if only for a moment. He unstoppered the bottle and took a sip. Mm. Tasty!
"What is this, anyway?" Harry asked Ron who, immediately upon hearing the question, swiveled to face
Harry with a wide eyed, agape expression.
"What was that?" Ron asked.
Confused, Harry repeated the question. "What is the drink?"
Ron blinked once. Twice. Then burst into laughter. "Harry!" he cried out amidst bouts of hysteria.
Harry was confused, and it clearly showed.
"Your voice!" Ron continued with his eyes now watering. "You sound like a mouse! I bet Fred or George replaced our juice with Squeaky Juice!" he laughed.
