Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 152, Edition 03 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week which is “THE CONCEPT OF FREE WILL”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “A LITTLE HISTORY”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us a history of their country. Every country in the world has a piece of history that makes it unique and has been instrumental in taking the country to where it is today. No one is exempted. Good or bad, we all have history.
We got to read about the history of some countries all over the world. How some major event shook entire nations, or the good ones that made things better for the people. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w152e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. For this author, he talked about how tribalism has taken over Nigerian politics and as such has made things bad for everyone. As long as people refuse to look past tribal differences when electing their leaders, then this is a problem that will keep happening, and the nation will keep suffering.
LESSONS FROM VENEZUELA: HOW CORRUPTION AND POPULISM DESTROYED A NATION @manclar
For this author, he shared with us how the greed and lust for power of one man plunged the country of Venezuela into a struggle that would last for a staggering 25 years! The leader had come as a solution, posing himself as the savior who would free the country and resources. However, he turned out to be the very opposite of all that!
