My 5 Current Goals
β Friedrich Nietzsche
For as long as I can remember, I have always been a future oriented individual, which translates to me being caught up in my head most of the times planning out my future, and making sure to accommodate for all possible scenarios, well not actually all but I try. π
The problem most of the time though has been being caught up into much of the planning that I don't actually go out and take the action to realize my goals, something I think many can relate to....

Being a reflective type, it is crucial to gain awareness on how to integrate insights or reflections of my goals and dreams but also to ensure that my reflection don't only lead up to procrastination and the end of it all the my goals never actually getting actualized. Something I really have struggled quite a lot with; coming up with a myriad of goals and then spending too much time trying to figure out the best way, but turns out there is no best way other than merely taking action. The how aspect becomes clear along the way.....
Onto my my current GOALS......
Developing A Routine.
Quoting the 18th Century English poet John Dryden:
Many emphasize on the importance of developing a consistent routine but still many choose to just wing it as we go, me included π€¦ββοΈ, and that's why it is actually one of my top priorities right now. A routine may seem boring but it is crucial for anyone looking to turn around their current situations. This to me simply translates to having a routine that enables me to pursue both my education and other dreams while still remaining sane.
Learning how to ask for help.
Asking for help to me at one point seemed as a weakness. I always avoided situations where I would get to ask for help no matter how much I needed it, to me it was best to maintain a smile, when in front of people but the façade would come crushing down whenever I was alone, rendering me helpless.
Turns out asking for help is not a sign of weakness but rather a sign of strength, and we are not always meant to go at it all alone, it is okay to ask for a helping hand.
Getting Certificates from FreeCodeCamp.
Going through some of my earlier updates, it is apparent I have a never ending desire to improve on my skills as a developer, and one way I recently discovered of satiating that hunger is by taking free courses on various main fields in the world of Tech and Code offered by FreeCodeCamp.
Not only are the courses totally free, they have certificates, which is a way of creating credibility.
~Brian Tracy
Learning how to let people in.
It is very easy to discern the fact that am a very cynical individual, part of it being a result of some past experiences. Cynicism has over the years led to the development of very high walls in the thought of protecting myself from being hurt more.
But in doing so I have hurt more people who tried to reach out to me and see me for who I really am. Not everyone has the best intentions, but the is the other half which encourages me to be more open to getting to let more and more people into my life. Our lives are more fulfilling with people in them. Of course not everyone...
Learning how to listen more.
We all crave having someone really understand us, get to see things from our perspective, it can be frustrating and lonely having no one who really gets us.
In learning to listen more we are able to understand others better, fully comprehending what they are saying. In a society where many never actually listen to understand but rather to give a quick reply, it is crucial to learn how to really hear others, only after so can we also be really heard.
My focus currently is on improving the self, with the aim of leading a more meaningful life.
