Hed Thob: From Asian Burning Season Disaster to Clean Eco-Business

@artemislives
It's hard to describe the intensity of feeling these earthy, bulbous, exotic little Thai mushrooms unleash. Angry calls for boycotts and lengthy online chat threads filled with frustration, insults and finger pointing. Community meetings & press statements while Thai people close their ears and queue for a chance to buy these expensive gourmet treats.
Hed thob (เห็ดถอบ) or Thai truffles as they are called. Botanically known as Astraeus hygrometricus
Let's Talk Of This Genetically Engineered 'Magneto' Protein And The Vaccine!

@earthcustodians
One more time: yes, we have said on several occasions and since we started blogging on Hive, science is out of control.
Here is the latest evidence. Neuroscience is embracing "Magnetogenetics" by adding this new tech to its toolbox. Indeed, researchers have created a non-invasive technique, using a "novel protein" that can activate neurons rapidly and reversibly.
Although the term "non-invasive" may sound more reassuring, we should comprehend here that this technique has a much broader application since it would be easier to contaminate the masses with this "novel protein" without them being aware of anything.
Harvesting Medicinal Herbs, For Our Health And Ecology Circle! (And Yes Check Out Those Drying Racks!)

@trucklfe-family
It's been a while since I wrote an update, about the collective I am a part of and how we have been organizing ourselves, since we finished our Sociocracy Training. We now have divided ourselves into different circles, so that each of us can focus on what we are passionate about.
I chose to be a part of the Health and Ecology circle and up until recently we have been meeting weekly, to discuss what our aims are and to focus on what we need to accomplish so that our collective and the wider community can thrive independently from the system.
Daily Runes - Balancing Fortunes // Runas Diarias - Equilibrando Fortunas

@drrune
Between desire and necessity
How many times do we say that we want this or that? And how many times do we confuse what we want with what we need? It's quite common, we've all gone through those moments of anger when we tell ourselves that the world is being unfair to us for not giving us what we seek, when the lack of interest of others in our tastes and experiences offends us. We tell ourselves that we need that attention, that extra cooperation from the world, that external validation, but there's no such need and what's worse, repeating these stories to ourselves prevents us from appreciated what we have and efficiently tending to the verifiable demands or our being.
Do It Imperfectly: Episode 236

@churdtzu
Many people have a certain impulse of restraint - “Do not take action until you are sure,” or even “Do not take action until things are perfect.” Of course, wait as we will, the perfect moment never comes.
There is no perfect moment for a first kiss, nor a perfect moment for a break-up, no right moment to step on stage for your first open mic, no right moment to publish your first blog.
The world is a swirling mass of unknown variables, too complex for us to ever calculate. If we did calculate them, they would The fool’s card in the tarot has a message for us… It is a symbol of innocence, the fool walking dandily with a swag, his puppy nipping at his heels. So carefree, he might be about to stumble over a precipice.
In Obedience of Winter's Law

@riverflows
In the cold, crisp air of Winter, the earth and everything is nourished by it is quiet and dark. Whilst the odd magpie struts across the grass and small wrens wiggle tails on fenceposts, and the rabbits nonchalantly twitch across the grassy paddock, digging their patches and avoiding foxes, most of nature is entering a time of vegetative dormancy. The mornings are exhalations of the night's sighs - darkly foggy, a veil that disguises a sleepy day that refuses to shine until at least after ten, and then only allows warmth behind panes of glass or on north facing front decks.
Dream operators need self control

@lukestokes
“Dream operators need self control.”
This is a quote from Marc Fleury left in a recent comment on my Facebook wall. I’ve been pondering it a bit as I continue to explore the possibility of non-physical matter being more fundamental than what we perceive with our physical senses.
I’m currently enjoying Donald Hoffman’s book The Case Against Reality. I’ve recently finished reading The Enlightenment Intensive: The Power of Dyad Communication for Self-Realization by Lawrence Noyes and had a fantastic meeting yesterday with Satyen Raja, a long-time practitioner of these events which are currently on hold due to COVID. We have a 90 minute session scheduled for Wednesday night I’m greatly looking forward to.

SquatchFest 2021 - Hip-Hop, UFOs, & Festival Swords

@elamental
Spring Awakening
Last weekend at Squatchfest was absolutely beautiful! Herds of crypto-hippies shieling various coins, fruitful vending stands, a dope hip-hop night with my homie Torin Frost rippin' up some badass tunes with a couple other emcees. Met up with some folks I haven't seen in a while including Truniversal and the new addition to their family. The event was small, but I felt right at home from the start. Outside of a touch of drama, and the fact that my hip-hop partner SoCoLo missed coming up to perform with me, it was close to perfection.
George Price vs Ayn Rand 🧠 A Reasoning On Altruism 🤔

@justinparke
These two historical figures came from very different backgrounds and disciplines, and their views couldn't be more opposing when it comes to humankind's ability to be truly altruistic.
Altruism Defined
The Merriam-Webster's Learner's Dictionary defines altruism as "feelings and behavior that show a desire to help other people and a lack of selfishness."
Ayn Rand 🚬
The obvious heavyweight in this reasoning, she possesses international fame, and is practically a demigod to many of Silicon Valley's millionaires.
Building With Cob Is Good For The Environment & The Soul

@holisticmom
When we first moved onto our land, it was simply that. Just land. No outbuildings, Nada. Just Olive trees as far as the eye can see, set in a valley surrounded by hills. As much as I loved to shower outdoors and answering the call of nature with the breeze gently caressing my backside, we really did need a place to wash and do our business that was a little less exposed to the elements.
We had tried our hand at building with earthbags, but in the searing Spanish nighttime heat, this was backbreaking work digging up the soil, dumping it into the bags, and then carrying the bags into their final resting place.

Anthony Fauci, HIV, the Serpent, and the Rainbow

@thoughts-in-time
The film 'The Serpent and the Rainbow' is a horror movie based on the experiences of researcher and anthropologist Wade Davis's 1985 book with a similar title. The film shows Bill Pullman's character, Dennis Alan, travel to Haiti to investigate a man who claims to be a zombie. Alan gets sent out to do this research at the bidding of a pharmaceutical company.
The people from big pharma suspect that the zombie effect gets brought on by acute drug intoxication. The company means to convert the concoction into a chemical for medical purposes and then make a tidy profit along the way.
Abundance.Tribe BiWeekly Question Tie Up Post
Focalized by @Trucklife-Family
The aim of the biweekly question is to help promote self awareness, so that we can begin to go back to a point in our lives, where we are connecting more with our intuitive self. By asking these questions, we are getting one another to dig deep and to reflect on our lives. To focus on what we really want in life and on how we are going to achieve it.
