Another post in my series as I work through @sidwrites' list of 15 Ultimate Tips & Challenges For Every Hive User.
You can read my previous posts here:
Tip #4 was to check out some of the cool Hive dapps. Here are three that I've been using.
Peakd
I'll start with my favourite dapp - Peakd.
Why is it my favourite? Because it just makes editing posts so easy. It has a great editor, and TEMPLATES!!!!This is my absolute #1 of Peakd's features. I can create my post templates right in Peakd and reuse them over and over. No cutting and pasting from other apps. Super easy to use. Works on my mobile too, so I can do all the heavy work on my PC and then create posts from my phone.
dCity
My second fave is the game dCity. This takes me back to the early SimCity days. You play by purchasing cards for SWAP.HIVE or SIM (through HiveEngine) and build your city piece by piece. My city is still tiny, but it's slowly building up. I'm just within the top 500 at least, haven't hit that goal of top 400 yet ;-)
Each dCity day earns you SIM, based on the income stats of the cards you hold, and whether your bank or casino got robbed overnight. The game is fun and challenging as you try to pick the best cards to keep your city balanced and earning SIM so you can expand further.
Dapplr
Third on my list is Dapplr - a great looking mobile app for Hive.
I've already written a post about Dapplr when I used it to post for a week (Taking Dapplr For A Spin). I've only made one post with Dapplr since that week ended, partly due to being at the PC and using Peakd to post, and partly because I think it's one area of Dapplr that still needs a little work.
What I love Dapplr for though is browsing and upvoting. The double-tap upvote feature is awesome and so handy when you're reading on your phone on the bus. I find the app also opens fast on my phone, the screen layout is very nice and easy on your eyes, and the phone notifications are really handy.
So that's my three favourite dapps, and ones that I've been using every day.
What's your favourite dapp?
Until next time,
@Sammie
