It turns out that I didn't have bedside tables or nightstands, whatever you call them, and it was a headache and quite uncomfortable to have creams next to the bed, on the floor. So I urgently needed something to place them next to the bed and solve that problem. I went online to look for something that would be good, nice and cheap, since my budget was not very high. So I looked for options with melamine, and there was not much variety, and their prices were very high. So I kept looking, and I got some nice but old tables. Besides, the color didn't match anything I had at home since they were brown.

Particularly, I have been pleasantly surprised with beautiful details made by some friends using upcycling. A technique that undoubtedly contributes to the welfare of the planet, to the economy and to the satisfaction that some of us feel when we are flattered by a humble but full of love gift. However, I am a total failure with upcycling. First of all I have a very bad memory, so what I save to supposedly reuse at a later date gets so badly stored that over the years it's no longer useful. Simple I occupy for years a space that detracted harmony to my environment.

People say that the color green means "Hope" right? This week I need to remember this word a lot, and since sometimes it becomes complicated to do so when circumstances get difficult, I decided to start this week with this color to fill myself with all the hopeful vibes. They also say that connecting with nature is a way to focus on the now and all that we have here around us that God and life has given us, but I haven't been out much lately except for some medical exams, so I haven't been able to connect much.

It turns out that we were going to make a few little things to distribute in the boxes, my sister made some fritters, my mom some coquettes, my aunt some panetelas, in short, a series of little things to fill the children's boxes, although the economic situation is a little bad, we tried to do our best so that everything would be more or less fine.

About three months ago I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, or pregnancy diabetes. This means I have to watch what I eat, particularly when it comes to sugars and carbs. But to my delight I found this lovely recipe that is completely diabetes proof! Though, to be fair, anyone who enjoys pancakes will enjoy this recipe!

Just now, I realized that one of my issues with producing content here is that I've set myself for writing only medium-length pieces. I rarely have so much to write about that I can end up with 2,000 words in a single post, but for some reason I feel uncomfortable putting out only 400-500 words too. Most of my posts are about 700-1,000 words for this reason and this is sometimes troublesome because I force myself to fill a quota of words when everything I could say the same thing I wanted to say for less investment. It's just odd to write in short-form here.

I hope you are well and that you had a good Monday. This time I share the step by step to make a beautiful flower-themed pencil holder. For those who follow my post and those who don't, I've always loved organizers, so whenever I can I share one and make a new one for my collection, haha. Pencil holders are a very easy organizer to make and we can literally make it for any theme, and there is a wide variety of materials that we can use for its base, such as: cans, paper rolls, containers, etc. Everything leads us to the same, recycle one or more materials depending on how we want to do it.

For today I bring you a series of different murals along a whole wall, that I got in some residences near the place where I live. As you can see they are of long date, being one of them in its central part covered with another one of a different style, perhaps when observing the deterioration they wanted to cover it a little by adding this other one.

In this blog post, I want to take a moment to reflect on my journey here. It's been a year already, but I can still remember how nervous I was when I clicked that 'Publish' button for the very first time. I clearly remembered how I prepared for that introduction post! I'm glad I did it anyway. In my twelve months of staying here, Hive has become my go-to place, the place where I can unleash my thoughts and share the memories I want to cherish. And the best part is, I've met some of the most amazing people along the way.
