Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000

The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!

Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.

So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all. That means that I am aiming at Day 96 being the 21st of July 2025!

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $245 to pay off!

Chaos Knights, War Dog Karnivore

10th Edition Index

A Battline unit for the Chaos Knights that is aggressive and loves to be in melee, these guys are great at capturing objectives and physically removing the resistance from the objective, not to mention keeping the melee threat off of your bigger shooting Knights!

They are 140pts to field.

Let's check its stats and abilities!

Save 3+/5++(invul against ranged only) (armor/invul/Feel No Pain)

Weapons

Standard weapons: Diabolus Heavy Stubber, Reaper Chaintalon, Slaughterclaw

This model can exchange its Diabolus Heavy Stubber for a Havoc Multi-Launcher.

Ranged Weapons

Diabolus Heavy Stubber

36" Range, 3 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S5, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Rapid Fire 3 (This weapon gets 3x more attacks when shooting a target within Half Range of 18")

Havoc Multi-Launcher

48" Range, D6 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S5, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Blast (This weapon gets +1 Attach per enemy models in target unit)
Indirect Fire (This weapon can shoot at a unit it cannot see, when it does the enemy gets Benefit of Cover and the attack is made at a -1 to hit to a max of 4+ to Hit.)

Melee Weapons

Reaper Chaintalon - Strike (Why bother?)

6 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S10, AP-3 and 3 Damage each.

Reaper Chaintalon - Sweep (Anti-horde)

12 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S8, AP-3 and 3 Damage each.

Slaughterclaw (The real Strike option!)

6 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S12, AP-3 and D6+2 Damage each.

Abilities

Deadly Demise D3 (When this model is destroyed, roll a dice to see if it explodes. On a 6 it does so, dealing D3 damage to every unit within 6" of this model)

Karnivore

You can re-roll Charge rolls for this model.

Thoughts

An uncomplicated set of rules on this model. Re-roll the charge and be good at close combat!

Also, did you notice that it is Movement 14?! Crazy!

So it is going to do exactly as I suggest: Keep things off your big knights and kill stuff around objectives while the big knights kill whatever is a threat to Knights.

That makes 9 Chaos Knight Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 90% Completed. The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 143.
