Today we observed the 12th day of fasting in Mauritius and here I am presenting my 12th Iftaar table exclusively here on Hive!

After yesterday's rush where I was just short of time setting the table, today was completely different!
Our table was full of different delicacies and I also got a lot of time taking some photos!
The Snacks...
Ohhh the snacks made their way back...and a real lot of!
Let's see what were on the table today!
Homemade : Potato Samosas, Chili Beignet, Fish Risolle, Cheese Beignet.
From my sister number 3 : Breadfruit Beignet, Taro fritters!
From my sister in law : Chicken Wonton, Mini chicken rounder.
From my nephew : Cheese & Chicken croquette and Bastella!
10 different varieties of snacks enjoyed with spicy chutneys! Yum Yum!!!
The main event!
The main item on the table was this yummy looking Chicken and vegetables Tajine prepared by my wife! We eat it with some home made bread and Harissa!
We also had a nice refreshing tuna salad with sweet corn and olives!

Drinks & Fruits!
I went full pack on the drinks side today...so we had Moroccan mint tea, Milk tea in my hive mug, water from my hive water bottle, Alouda(A Mauritian Classic), Sparkling pear juice, Orange Juice and coconut/pineapple sparkling!
And as fruits of the day, I placed grapes, red plums, fuji apples and guavas on the table!
My little helper...or rather disturber!!!
My little son Omar decided to play in the kitchen today...and wanted so badly to sit just on the preparation table!
So on one hand I had to hold him and the other doing the work! Quite fun having him around...maybe a new chef in the making...we never know!
