Presale Limited Edition Promo Cards
Over the course of this two-week blog post series, I will dive into the core of REBELLION
, concentrating on the 2 Presale Limited Edition Promo Cards featured in the very first post by the Splinterlands Team: THE REBELLION IS COMING!
When players acquire REBELLION PACKS
during the presale, they will also qualify to obtain not just one but these 2 Limited Edition Promo Cards! These unique cards will be exclusively minted for the REBELLION
presale and won't be found in subsequent REBELLION BOOSTER PACKS
. Hence, the sole means of acquiring them is by purchasing packs during the REBELLION
presale or acquiring them later from others who did!
Additionally, for every 10 REBELLION BOOSTER PACKS
bought in the presale, which includes bonus packs for bulk purchases, players will be rewarded with a Grimbardun Smith (Rare, Neutral Splinter). Each Grimbardun Smith card received carries a 4% chance of being a Gold Foil version. Players are assured of obtaining at least one Gold Foil version for every 250 REBELLION BOOSTER PACKS
purchased during the presale!
Furthermore, each REBELLION BOOSTER PACK
purchased in the presale carries a 1% chance of containing a Mantaroth (Legendary, Neutral Splinter). Players are guaranteed to receive at least one Mantaroth card for every 100 REBELLION BOOSTER PACKS
purchased and at least one Gold Foil Mantaroth card for every 2,500 REBELLION BOOSTER PACKS
bought during the presale. Additionally, each Mantaroth card obtained will have a 4% chance of being a Gold Foil version! 😍
GRIMBARDUN SMITH
In this week's post, I shall start with discussing the Grimbardun Smith, a Rare Rarity Monster hailing from the Neutral Splinter! While the Grimbardun Smith lacks any offensive stats, its strength lies in a robust array of abilities, including Immunity, Void, Shield, and Repair, making it an exceptionally valuable tank in the current Modern League. With the departure of Almo Cambio from the Modern League, the Grimbardun Smith serves as a more than capable successor moving forward! 👍
Since I primarily operate on the scholarship account provided by Balthazar, I lack access to the REBELLION
cards for gameplay. Consequently, in the upcoming sections, the battles I will be sharing are either from my daily grind where the opponent uses the Grimbardun Smith or intriguing encounters I come across while studying the Top Battles featured! 😅
BATTLE FROM JEAHARMO2
A recurring strategy I have observed among players utilizing the Grimbardun Smith involves pairing it with Lily Shieldpaw. This combination enables players to employ the Camouflage ability, concealing their backline and directing opponents' attacks solely towards the first position guarded by the Grimbardun Smith. By assembling a supporting cast in the backline capable of Tank Heal and Repair, the Grimbardun Smith becomes nearly impervious especially with its Void, Shield and Repair abilities as well, as exemplified in the following battle. Despite the opponent deploying Doctor Blight, who is capable of inflicting Poison and Affliction, the Grimbardun Smith remains unaffected, thanks to its Immunity ability. Although the battle may unfold over an extended duration, the defensive prowess of the Grimbardun Smith ultimately prevails! 💪
BATTLE FROM KIWI11
An additional strategy frequently employed by players involves pairing the Grimbardun Smith with another Monster possessing the Weapons Training ability. This strategic move enables the Grimbardun Smith, lacking any inherent attacking stats, to acquire the unit's attack power, capped at a maximum of 3.
In this battle scenario, the Grimbardun Smith was strategically partnered with Skok Duskblight, resulting in the Grimbardun Smith gaining 2 Magic attack. Moreover, with the Fog Of War ruleset in effect and only the Earth and Death Splinters available for use, the Grimbardun Smith emerged as the ideal choice for a tanker in this battle. The combination of Void and Shield abilities rendered the enemy's attacks negligible! 😤
Were you able to purchase sufficient REBELLION PACKS
during the presale to acquire an ample number of Grimbardun Smith copies to create a MAX version? What are your considerations when encountering or deploying the Grimbardun Smith? Feel free to share your thoughts! 😆
If you made it this far, I sincerely appreciate your time and value your encouragement. Please feel free to leave any comments or suggestions so that we can discuss about other strategies.
