This is one of those game rules that highly favors Magic Monsters and Summoners that either buff or nerf Magic. The problem with Melee is that it only is able to attack from 1st place and Range can't attack from 1st spot while it doesn't bypass armor. So Magic works best as it can attack from any position and it ignores the armor. One of the Rebelling cards I recently bought that works well with this rule is the Legendary Lord Thanalor Since it has 3 Magic damage and the Life Splinter is lacking those which makes it harder to get the Immortalis to work without it on Magic Centered battles.
However, the other game rule for this battle today was that only Melee Monsters could be used. This made me focus mostly on Armor & Melee Monsters that also have Ranged attack in the back.
The Possibilis the Wise summoner is the one I use the most and it also was very useful here as it allowed 2 instead of just 1 Melee monster to attack. The Kraken is nearly always my 1st choice for a tank. I followed it up with 3 melee monsters that also have armor in the Chain Golem + Tortisian Fighter + Hardy Stonefish. in the back I was able to play 2 Ranged monsters that eventually also would be able to attack once they got in 2nd position. these were the Drybone Raider+ the War Chaang
Despite getting 2 damage on each and every attack as my opponent had the Mylor Summoner, the fact that I had 4 attacks of which 2 were ranged compared to just 1 of my opponent won me the match quite comfortably. However, if my opponent had double attack monsters it would have gotten tricky even against Level 1 monsters.
