When the Target Practice the 2 main strategies are either to play a Taunt monster as Tank with a monster next to it that doesn't take blast damage along with at least a double heal. Another strategy is to play multiple blast monsters in the hope the opponent doesn't play the taunt strategy. Playing a full Melee lineup is also an option. Overall this game rules is quite fun and brings some variety in the gameplay with multiple tactical options.
For this battle, Melee Monsters were not allowed so I mainly went with Magic and 1 strong ranged monster which also was allowed to attack in first position. The Water Summoner with +1 Magic attack was a logical choice along with the Djinn Oshanus as the main tank. The Monster most damage would be reflected to was the Baakjira which is a monster that I nearly don't use often enough. the self-heal and Void helped toward magic damage and blast also because in 3rd place I played the Carnealus as it was allowed to attack from first place in case it would get there. The Nerissa Tridown + Ruler Of The Seas + Phantom of The Abyss for some strong damage output along with some blast and extra speed.
My opponent opted for an Earth Obsidian deck balanced between magic + ranged attack with an eye to buff the 1st and the 3rd monster. However I had a strong speed advantage along with some blast which helped me win the match quite easily.
