Updates on self-funded project "Hive Inbox / hReplier"
PlayStore release is in review for over 4 days
- Our Google PlayStore release is in-review state for over 4 days
- By looking at it, our assumption is that, we should submit a new version
- New version will override this release & hopefully will be reviewed by Google soon.
App Updater - not working on iOS - fixed
- App Updater was not working on iOS.
- It basically needs a URL to generate AppUpdate prompt. But without AppStore release, we didn't have this value for iOS.
- App Updater prompts user to update the App whenever there is a new version available on Stores.
- We've addressed this issue & it is fixed.
Ignoring Vote when it's set to 0%
- What to do when voting slider is set to 0% & user taps on "Upvote & Reply"?
- Today, we discussed & finalised that, instead of warning user, let's just broadcast reply/comment only.
- We've implemented this improvement & it'll be available in next release.
Overview on set of code changes done today
- We take small small steps each day to improve the app.
- But it seems like app is functional now & except few improvements, we're all set.
- So, we'll be switching our focus to next self-funded project "Hive Stats" for hive users.
A new Menu item in the drawer
- "Hive Inbox / hReplier" - The whole app's idea was inspired by "Engage App" built by him.
- Clicking on the mention on menu item, it redirects to the original app developed by @arcange.
- In next release of both apps (iOS & Android), we'll update & add details mentioning his vision & his apps in the app.
Progress on Known bugs
- ✅ Infinite loading indicator
- Sometimes users get this infinite loading indicator. We've added time out for this & we'll ship a new bug-fix release soon.
- ✅ Filter for Outgoing / Incoming Replies
- Users have requested for adding filters for incoming & outgoing replies.
- We'll take this feedback & improve app soon.
- ✅ When it's at 0%
- When slider is at 0%, only broadcast comment & not vote.
- ✅ % is shown 2 times
- % sign is shown 2 times above vote slider - need to fix it.
- ⏳HiveSigner
- Add support for HiveSigner based login
- ❌ Settings - Default Vote
- In settings, add a default vote weight
- We've decided to not to implement this feature at the moment.
- Languages
- Support for more languages
What's Next?
- ✅ Now, we'll work on front-end.
- ✅ We'll create a separate branch for iOS app.
- ✅ These changes will be mostly related to AppStore submission.
- ✅ Once changes are done on front-end, we'll do thorough testing.
- ✅ After testing, we're aiming to ship it to AppStore next week. Wish us luck.
