This is a cute build for the day: a small little fireplace with a stocking. The really neat thing about this particular set of pieces is that there were enough left over pieces for more fire and another stocking! I'm thinking it'll soon be time to build out another Christmas scene completely.
The Yule Story, Continued
Harry was suddenly very, very concerned. Did he really want Ron to be casting spells on him this close to the Yule Ball? What if he accidentally turned Harry into an actual mouse? Then it didn't matter what he sounded like, he certainly wouldn't be attending the Yule Ball then.
But before he could voice - or squeak, as the case may be - his concern, Ron had already waved his wand, mumbled some words, pointed at Harry and... presto! He was done.
Harry didn't feel any different. Was he a mouse? He looked at the small fireplace in the room. Was he going to need to scurry into the stocking to hide? He looked down at himself. He was still Harry! He touched, poked, prodded, then received some joshing by Ron. "Don't poke yourself, Harry! Say something!"
It took a moment for Harry to register that it was his voice that was the problem. "Do I sound normal now?" he asked with some trepidation.
Ron's eyes widened in shock. Harry's did in return, mimicking Ron's. "Oh my goodness!" Ron whispered. "You sound like... like.. like you!" he said, then burst into laughter.
"Ron! That wasn't funny!" Harry complained then, after watching his friend for a moment longer, joined into the laughter with him.
