#9 - Progress and Dilemmas in Our Project [ENG-ESP]

Greetings friends of Hive, this is going to be a short post since my group and I are short of time and running from here to there finding out prices, getting components and assembling the laminates for the pre-delivery. We are still stuck on the issue of the product casing, for now we decided to continue with a sheet metal casing, there are some who think it is the best option and others that we should consider another material because of the weight of the final product since we were talking about it being light so that the user could accommodate and transport it inside his house.

Saludos amigos de Hive, este va a ser un posteo corto ya que con mi grupo estamos escasos de tiempos y corriendo de aquí para allá averiguando precios, consiguiendo componentes y armando las laminas para la pre entrega. Todavía seguimos trabados con el tema de la carcasa del producto, por ahora decidimos continuar con una carcasa de chapa hay algunos que piensan que es la mejor opción y otros que deberíamos considerar otro material por el tema del peso del producto final ya que estábamos hablando de que sea ligero para que el usuario pudiera acomodarlo y transportarlo dentro de su casa.

But as in general we agreed to continue with the idea of the sheet metal, we continue modeling in 3D options of links between the parts of the casing, looking for a firm structure and not silk. We thought of some folds to achieve this goal, although in the case that we do it in sheet metal and we have the thickness of the sheet chosen we will have to see if we should send it to a supplier to make the cut with laser, plasma or water, there are different advantages with each of these and also different costs, but this will be a problem for later.

Pero como en general estuvimos de acuerdo en seguir con la idea de la chapa continuamos modelando en 3D opciones de vínculos entre las partes de la carcasa, buscando que tenga una estructura firme y que no seda. Pensamos en unos pliegues para lograr este objetivo, aunque llegado el caso de que lo hagamos en chapa y tengamos el espesor de la chapa elegido tendremos que ver si nos conviene mandarlo a un proveedor para hacer el corte con láser, plasma o agua existen diferentes ventajas con cada uno de estos y también diferentes costos, pero esto será un problema para más adelante.

As you can see the modeling is still in a first instance of idea, mostly because we are still verifying measures, spaces for components and possible locations for the systems, everything takes a long time, we have to think, dump the idea and see what complications arise or if it really meets the need we had. The group is quite stressed, we have achieved a lot and so far we have won several victories, we can not lower our arms or trust because we could have a big problem ahead.

Como verán todavía el modelado esta en una primera instancia de idea más que nada porque seguimos verificando medidas, espacios para componentes y posibles ubicaciones para los sistemas, todo lleva mucho tiempo, hay que pensar, volcar la idea y ver que complicaciones surgen o si realmente cumple con la necesidad que teníamos. El grupo esta bastante estresado, hemos logrado mucho y hasta ahora venimos con varias victorias obtenidas, no podemos bajarlos brazos ni confiarnos porque podríamos tener un gran problema por delante.

Les agradezco muchísimo su tiempo, espero que ustedes estén disfrutando más de esto que yo ajajaja me gusta lo que estudio y el trabajo que venimos haciendo con mi grupo, pero ya se nota que hay algunos integrantes que evitan los esfuerzos ¿Que quiero decir? Que no se están preocupando tanto como otros compañeros. Soy Nitsu y los estaré actualizando con nuevas novedades.
