Space Wolves incoming!

As explained in This post about new reveals at Adepticon the Space Wolves are suddenly being launched and dropped on our heads suddenly!

Thus my time for reviewing their Datasheets is running out. I have 34 Reviews to do, I am trying to maintain a fast pace so I will give myself 17 days including today to complete all of these. That means that the last day of this personal challenge will be the 15th of April 2025!

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $242 to pay off!

The whole project has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.

I should have started when 10th edition launched!
679 days since the start of 10th Edition.

Space Wolves, Wolf Guard Battle Leader on Thunderwolf

Like I said... there are going to be a LOT of Wolf Guard entries.

There already is a Wolf Guard Squad and that is a squad of elite Space Wolves.

The Wolf Guard Battle Leaders is what a Space Wolf has instead of a Lieutenant. They are the heroes who stand head and shoulder above the other Wolf Guard who are marked to lead.

Trusted second-in-commands or leaders marked to be the Wolf Lord's replacement.

And then there will still be Pack Leaders to come...

This is a Battle Leader on a Thunderwolf.

Weapons

Standard weapons: Bolt Pistol, Relic Weapon, and Crushing Teeth and Claws

Weapon Options: Both bolt pistol and relic blade can be replaced by a pair of Lightning Claws.

The Bolt Pistol can be replaced by one of the following:

Rapid Fire 1 (At half range of 12" gain 1 extra attack)
Anti-Infantry 4+ (Critically Wounds Infantry on a 4+)
Devastating Wounds (Critical Wounds cause Mortal Wounds)

Master-crafted boltgun

24" Range, 2 Shot, Hitting on 2+, S4, AP0 and 2 Damage each.

Bolt Pistol

12" Range, 1 Shots, Hitting on 2+, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in melee)

Crushing Teeth and Claws

3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S5, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Extra Attacks (This model can use this profile as well as its other melee weapon)

Abilities

Tactical Precision

While leading a unit, weapons in that unit have the Lethal Hits Ability. This means that 6's to Hit cause automatic Wounds.

Aggressive Hunter

This ability can be used once per game. In your opponent's Shooting Phase, if an enemy targets this model's unit, after the attack has been resolved this model's unit can Move D6". They must move towards the closest enemy unit and if this move brings them close enough, they can enter into Engagement range!

Thoughts

Aggressive Hunter is something that really takes people by surprise. You can be shot at, then decide to move it to either get into combat and therefore, not be shot at any more, or possibly moving out of view of some of the enemy's firepower.

Also, giving Lethal Hits to a unit of Thunderwolves is amazing.

Additionally, this model can be put in leadership of a unit led be either the Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf or Logan Grimnar on Stormrider.

That makes 27 Space Wolves Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 77.14% Completed. The total Completed is 37.99% Complete! Can I review them all?!
