And then... it dawned on the monster of disco
that it wasn't the one being disconnected, it was merely picking up on an overall vibe of disconnection, a sensation that seemed to have spread throughout the world like a virus.
It also realized that, if it kept focusing on the things it loved - staying connected with itself and (its) nature - it would automatically attract others, like flies to a fresh turd honey or parasites to the disco light.
It was then just a matter of sifting out the energy vampires and focusing on those who actually energized him.
When the monster of disco was dancing, it would gyrate so fast around the pole and shine such a bright (disco)light, that nobody could approach it - it would have been sensory overkill.
Whoever came too close, would be catapulted into the void, never to return.
However, those who chose to do so, were welcome to just appreciate his energy or otherwise admire him from a ( safe ) distance. There was no chance for any 'suckers' out there to steal the show or ruin his mojo.
Watch that creature go
clearly in the flow
it's the monster of disco
stealing the show
The above was just some more freewriting, connected to my work in progress, 'The Monster of Disco'.

The illustration attached, was taken from my previous 'parasite at the disco light', as I like it so much that I felt like sharing it again.
Like the Monster of Disco, it deserves some more appreciation.
