Introduction
Is this the last of the serie, what will be next week battle mage secret. I had fun writing these rule set analyses.
This week we will do deep dive into weak magic
Ruleset
Magic hits armor first before hitting health.
Official ruleset information from splinterlands: List-of-In-Game-Rulesets
Abilities Synergies / Strategies
Shatter - Now that all attack type have to take armor down its a no brainer how much shatter can help in this case. especially is you an
very useful summoner in this rule set.
My shatter units are:
Piercing - Still if you have 1 armor left it can absorb a for example 10 damage attack only taking down the 1 armor. When you bring along a unit with piercing the rest of the 9 damage will go drain the enemies health.
Piercing unit that I currently possess:
Repair - Every armor count so every repair will be beneficial.
Here a my current repair units:
Avoid
Void Armor - useless because every unit already has this ability by the weak magic rule set.
Example battle
Strategy
Only magic units with weak magic. Some rule set combinations are funny. This combination is not that horribly, we can expect magic reflect and i will be going for a heal setup. With 53 mana a high mana battle so most of the units will be playable with respect to the mana cost.
Note that this time its an brawl battle so also 1 gladius card can be used.
Rulesets
Wands Out:
Only magic unit may be selected.
Equal Opportunity:
All units will receive the opportunity ability. This will lead that most of the time the weakest unit is attacked. Weakest meaning lowest health. You can use this knowledge to predict the attack order.
Weak Magic:
Rule set of this week. Also magic units will attack the armor first.
The Lineup
Summoner
Card | Reason |
---|---|
![]() | This time not selected for the void armor but more to be able to play 2 triage units with a resurrect unit |
Monsters Lineup
#1 | #2 | #3 | #4 | #5 | #6 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Runemancer Atuat (lvl 2)
This will be the main tank. Note that most of the attacks will take place in the backline because of the taunt.
Djinn Renova (lvl 5)
First triage unit that needs to heal Iziar as much as possible
Spirit Hoarder (lvl 3)
Second triage unit that again needs to heal Iziar as much as possible.
Adelade Brightwing (lvl 3)
The repair of this unit is important to give back some armor that is gained of the summoner Grandmaster Rathe
Captain Katie (lvl 3)
Strong gladius units that hopefully it can gain some extra health and attack trough the bloodlust ability.
Iziar (lvl 1)
This is the most important unit of this line up. This unit needs to protect the rest of the lineup.
Als the void when only magic units are possible is almost as good as -1 magic from Thaddius Brood

Rounds
Start :
Lets analyze the battle lineup.
Interesting battle also a good choice of my opponent to reduce the magic damage when only magic rule set.
I'm not that worry about the magic reflect of Djinn Muirat, because this unit will be attack as last.
Furthermore i think/hope that my Iziar will have enough health to be healed so other units can kill my opponent.
Round 1:
The first bloodlust unit is killed, my team is standing strong. If this continue like this my opponent will do less damage and it will be easier to heal. This give me confidence that my Iziar will last.
Round 2:
My lineup is holding up now the match is determined, also the void of Iziar is helpful to reduce the damage.
Round 3:
The repair of Adelade Brightwing is repairing Runemancer Atuat so that the Djinn Muirat is not doing much damage.
Round 4:
As expected the last unit remaining is the Djinn Muirat. One more round.
Round 5:
Victory!. All unit still standing.
Conclusion
This battle shows the strength of Iziar when combined with some healing units and the void makes it an good choice with the magic only rule set.
Also as many other strategies that where posted before you see me using more often the soulbound units. What i love about this soulbound units currently you only get them trough playing. IMO they may introduce more units/benefits for real players that have proof of time/skill playing the game over people with big money stash buying the all the cards and dominate.
