And just like that...we completed the 22nd day of fasting for the month of Ramadan here in Mauritius!
Now we are left with approx. 8 days or maybe less - depending on the visibility of the new moon!

Paella!!!
Yes friends, on today's table we had a delicious seafood paella prepared by my wife!
I don't think I have to say more on this amazing rice dish!
The rice was perfectly cooked, the seafood nicely seasoned...just like I love it!
Mhencha
Mhencha is normally made with almond and is a sweet in Morocco...but today my wife made one with beef fillings...
It was my first time trying it and yeah...it was really a nice discovery for me! Very delicious indeed!
Snacks!
The load of snacks made their way back again on our iftaar table today!
So we had Eggplant beignet, Chicken Hakien, Taro fritter and Chili beignet!
My favorite one was the eggplant beignet, it is not always that you get such sweet eggplants, sometimes they are bitter in taste...but today they were just perfect!
Drinks , fruits and chocolate!
On the drinks side, we had the usual Moroccan mint tea for my wife, Mauritian milk tea for me, water and some juices for the kids!
I also made a nice fruit platter composed of pears, plums, mandarine and starfruits!
For the sweet tooth, we had some Delice chocolate cake and some dates!
So in general we had another beautiful iftaar table to break our 22nd fast! Kids were happy as well as everyone else...can't ask for more!
